Aug 16 2012

Howard Stern and wife Beth Ostrosky-Stern walk the ForeverLawn green carpet at the North Shore Animal League DogCatemy Awards

Howard Stern, a pet photographer? Believe it or not, the 2012 Animal League Calendar features his photos of Beth Stern with numerous animal friends: Carson, Cooper, Lucy, Griffin, Fiona, Nemo, Liza, Suzi, Twister, Miley, Magdelena, Hope, Bianca, Walter, Apple and Leon Bear.

Each year, the Animal League rescues, nurtures and adopts nearly 20,000 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens into permanent and happy homes, and to commemorate each month of 2012, Beth and Howard Stern have generously donated their time and love in support of creating a one-of-a kind calendar showcasing the precious, healthy canines and felines that can be found in local shelters. Frenchie the Dog Meets an NYPD Horse

Aug 16 2012

Frenchie, a French Bulldog, takes a walk near the Occupy Wall Street camp and discovers what she probably thinks is a very large dog. Much nose touching, sniffing and dancing ensues. The horse is curious but very calm throughout the entire episode. At one point, a little human tries to break in and pet the horse. Frenchie would have none of that! Get back pint-sized human - this is MY freakishly large dog friend. BOL!

My fur sister Roxy would be happy to see that Frenchie looks fashionable.

The money was intended for a car payment. "She ate the bill, the envelope... everything," recalls Christy Lawrenson. Her hubby found a few pieces around the house before she came home for a lunch break.

I saw one $100 dollar bill almost ripped in half on the floor. I found like three or four pieces around the house. I thought somebody broke in originally. [Joe Lawrenson]
